Windows 7: wow wtf

wow wtf

when i turned on my laptop there was this really
loud beeping noise that sounded like an alarm going off
i only just got it

The BIOS performs a power-on self-test (POST) to ensure a system is functioning properly. When there is a problem, an error message results. But if an issue is identified before the video card can be accessed, a series of beeps will be produced on the speaker to tell a user what the problem is. A site to figure out the meaning of BIOS Beep Codes is
(Look at the right hand side column on that page).

However, a single beep during the boot process is normal.

Ahhhh, yes....the beep of joy. Gotta' love it when you hear that after reviving a so-called dead motherboard.
