Two Control Panel Icons on Taskbar

Ok guys, don't know where to put this in. So I hoping for the best. This happens to me on every build that I install (7000, 7057, 7068, and 7077). I right click on the taskbar, go to toolbars, and select Desktop to show desktop icons on my taskbar. I always get two icons for control panel settings. It doesn't bug me b/c I can right click and delete the second icon. My problem is how do I keep it from doing it again every time I reboot the PC. Is there something in the registry that is doing this?

    Hello GMP and Maka,

I'm not sure if this is what you mean, but you might try using this option below to pin a Control Panel icon on the taskbar to see if it works better for you.

Control Panel - Pin to Taskbar

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

I believe it because it's allowing you to select Control Panel as a whole or you can select the individual components within Control Panel without having to navigate Control Panel itself.

It does seem a bit strange though :s
