I loaded 7 about 4 months ago, fine no problem, got all updates, was genuine with key that was entered, two days ago, got the popups and not genuine watermark, does microsoft change keys for authenticity? Never had this problem with xp or vista.

A few weeks ago MS began a new verification process, it may have bugs, and your notification may not be correct. On the other hand there may be an actual problem with your activation. Call the MS center to be sure.

Without knowing the facts it is impossible to give more information. Did you buy your OS from a reputable dealer or from an individual etc. In any event a call will be your solution. With the number that I gave you, the opportunity will present itself to input your key number with a touch tone phone. It may be activated immediately, if a problem does exsist a rep will talk to you. They are REALLY, known for their professionalism and help.
