No extract option for zip files

I am not able to extract zip files with windows 7. The right click menu does not have an extract option for zip files and the files are associated with MSWord for some reason. I can make a zip file from a folder, but can't unzip.
Thanks for any help

Thanks, worked great after I manually changed the name of the downloaded file to .reg

I'm happy to hear that you got this sorted.

Strange, the download is already a .reg file though. Do you have known file extensions set to show? If not, then maybe that is why you did not see it. I just wanted to check with you to make sure that everything is ok with that file so no one else will have a problem with it.

I am hiding known file extensions, but the file I donwnloaded had a .download extension. Merge wasn't on the right click menu until I renamed it.

I guess the problem was that I use Google Chrome. I tried downloading it in IE and it was a .reg file there.

Yeah, it may be some sort of download filter add-on in Google Chrome that is renaming it.
