How do u shrink desktop icons?

I need to know exactly how to shrink the desktop icons for Windows 7. My girlfriend's icons are very big, and she swears they're getting bigger. lol I tried to figure out how to resize them, but there's so much utter bs to go thru in the control panel, I couldn't figure it out. Help please? lol

Hold down CTL key and roll the wheel on the mouse. But you must not have any programs and folders open at that time.

LOL, Brink beat me to it.

My favorite method is to left click on one icon, while holding down ctrl, adjust the size with the mouse wheel.

LOL WHS beat me to it.
