missing desktop icons ??

    missing desktop icons ??


    Realized three or four desktop icons are just gone.
    I have looked at the [right click]desktop/view & "show icons" is checked.
    I have looked at C;/Users/..../desktop & they are not there.
    No big deal as I can recreate them as needed but why?

    Shortcut to....

    1. sub folder in My Documents
    2. VPN login
    3. VPN Access DB inside above VPN
    4. Remote Desktop (blank)
    5. Dreamweaver

    Derek,

    Thanks for the tip but there is no "find & fix problems" in System & Security.
    I have seen several posts about missing shortcuts but not this, thanks!
    I just need to fin it....

    OK, I found it.... via search.
    BUT, what else would be at risk if I disable Computer Maintenance" ?

When I save a file to the desktop it doesn't show up. I open windows explorer and it is indeed there, but the icon does not show when I go to the desktop. Only after I re-boot will it show. Can anyone help? Thanks.
