    Slow response when renaming files

Has anyone ever figured out how to solve the slow response in Win7 when renaming files? There's quite a bit out there in net world about this issue and I have the same problem with my new computer. You can reboot and all is well...for a few days and then slow again on renaming files.

    Hello jberenyi.

I've been using Windows 7 for a quite a while and I don't now nor ever have had any "delay" when I re-name folders / files; can you give us some examples what you're referring to?

    Safe mode

Please check in safe mode, if renaming is working fine in safe mode.
Steps to start your computer in Safe mode,
    1. Restart your computer and before Windows logon screen appears press F8 continuously which will bring “Advanced Boot” options.
    2. Please select “Safe mode” and hit enter to start your computer in Safe mode.
    3. Once you have logged into safe mode, go to Control Panel -> User Accounts and create a new administrator user account.
Safe Mode is a Diagnostic Mode of Microsoft Windows Operating System running with minimal set of services and drivers.
If renaming your files is working fine in safe mode, please perform clean boot to help resolve your issue. Please see below for steps to perform clean boot.
