Can't access XP Documents

I am trying to access the files I have in "D:\Documents and Settings\Schuyler"(XP) from Windows 7. However, I get:

"You don't currently have permission to access this folder, Click continue to permanantly get access to this folder."

*click*

"You have been denied permission to access this folder."

UAC is disabled... HELP!

I've had similar problem. Here is how I fixed it : Boot to XP ,go to My Documents - properties - security tab. Remove everyone but yourself and system. Of course ,give yourself all permissions and ownership (check Owner under Advanced tab) then press Apply and OK! Now boot back to Windows 7 ,go to folder ,and try to access it now! That should fix it!

Thanks, though I figured it out last night lol. What i did was right click on Account folder, properties, and uncheck Make these files private. After 30 minutes of "Changing file credintials" I could finally use it! But not no more windows 7 for me, COD4 is still a punkbuster fail =/

Well ,good that you found solution ,but I don't know why you needed half hour just for changing credentials!
And if COD4 punkbuster is the only reason you giving up Seven ,it's obviusly not for you! Good luck!!

Well ,its the hardware problem then ,not Seven ,lol. And Seven is still beta ,so the game makers has to adapt their games for it. Most of them needed a year to do that for Vista and that with Vista in stores allready! Just hope that they will be faster this time!!
