Some sources agree that 7 is slower... go see yourself

Windows 7 Called Slower than Vista - PCWorld Business Center

for my personal experience my pc isn't the fastest i know ... but i was playin battlefield in high detail overall with vista, and with no good reason now with 7 i need to run it low on detail... for sure if i've had a core i7 i wouln't be experiencing this problem, but it is not everyone that got a gaming beast!

It is also normal that a system that has always more and more services and hidden processes running in the background will be slower.

Some poeples will say it is faster probably because of a good compatibility with all devices..
Other like me will feel that the poor vista was probably better for now.....i really like 7
but right now with all the same programs installed than before on vista... it take like 3 minutes to boot compare to 1:45 seconds with vista.

Like to much often new technologies and softwares need to be optimized by users and developers...... it mean wait for some major update

Windows7 Pro 64bit SP-1; Windows XP Pro 32bit

My Win7 loads faster than my XP. the 7 doesn't take 1:34min to load either as in that article.

I'm loading 68 apps on start up according to task manager in less than a minute.
I can run AVP benchmark wide open with no hangs or glitches and the graphics card is not OC'ed.
Check my specs.

I must have a good copy.

Windows 7 slower than XP/Vista?
I have a problem with a game, Zuma Deluxe. It runs fine on my computer when I have Vista, XP or W2K installed, but when I run the game on Windows 7, it stutters wildly. Same computer, same cards, nothing is changed hardware wise, except the hard disk, which I doubt would make the game stutter. Is...
