Until Nvidia updates the drivers on their site, you're best off using the in-box / WU drivers.

Well the seas seamed to have calmed somewhat to me, although after leaving it on last night i found it had shut down at some point and when i logged back on it gave me the "Windows has recovered from an unexpected shutdown" error, which isn't too nice!
lol, for me, that's been normal for most of the builds

    New build = New BSoD

There are Windows 7 Drivers on there and without them (I don't know abouit this build because i didn't try, but in the previous builds) you couldn't run open GL.

I've left my PC today for about 6 hours and come back to another shutdown. The computer was actually turned off. I'm thinking it might be to do with that sleep bug that used to be on there.

I'm gonna go turn it to high performance mode and see if that does anything.

Just to add a data point to the discussion. I just received a new laptop, onto which I installed 7068 x64 and 7700 x64 as an upgrade. Laptop specs at the end of the post. I noticed a speed up from 7068 to 7077, but 7077 seemed somewhat more unstable. I kept getting explorer error, where a notification would pop-up telling me that explorer had quit and was restarting.

I did a clean install of 7100 x64, and have had no problems. It is as fast as 7077, but no stability problems as of the install, which was Friday night PDT.

The Laptop is a MPC Micron T2500

    Processor - T9300 (2.5 gHz) Core 2.
    Chipset - Intel PM965
    Memory - 4 GB DDR2-800
    Video - nVidia 8600M GS - 256 MB

    We'll see how it goes.

But the drivers Nvidia has up are targetted at the Windows 7 Beta build. I'm sure they'll release some updated for the RC soon enough, but for now the WU version is likely your best bet. Either that, or use the Vista driver.

It's running fine now, it just bluescreened after the install.

Whether that's what's crashing the PC also is another question, but i've only come back to it when it's shut down, so i'm thinking that it's the sleep function.

No crashes, no freezes, no slowdowns and no problems to report here. Everything is running really sweet and it get's more responsive as the builds go by. Overall an absolutely awesome operating system!

I actually use the 185 nvidia drivers but only for the reason of two games not being able to play. Nfs undercover and pro street do not play with the official 181 drivers and all my other games do. I tried the 185's and hey presto all games working spot on. WEI stays the same. Upon installing the 185 driver they are recognized as windows 7 so maybe nvidia have done some tinkering with them.

I had a BSOD yesteray whilst installing Steam. Which is really bizzare. AFD.sys was the problem and i'm pretty sure that was the problem after installing the nvidia drivers :/

7100 x64 fine here, only real bug so far is the games folder in the start menu freezes explorer for a bit when opened, the folder and not the shortcut to the explorer.
