Actually, I think i'm mistaken:
Microsoft Security Essentials - Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaMSE replaces Windows Live OneCare, a commercial subscription-based antivirus service and the free Windows Defender, which only protected users from adware and spyware....
It includes the same anti-malware engine (dubbed "Microsoft Malware Protection Engine", or MSMPENG for short), and virus definitions that all other Microsoft desktop antimalware products share, including Forefront Client Security, Windows Live OneCare, and Windows Defender (Defender excludes the antivirus definitions which are separate from the antispyware definitions).[16] MSE will disable Windows Defender, as it provides protection against malware, not limited to spyware and adware.[4]
Thank you again , guys!
This forum is very active, especially when lending a hand to the ones in need.
PS: I've been busy all these days with some midterm exams.
Here is a bit more on added security in Windows 7: An Introduction to Security in Windows 7. Might be worth a read through... Also, Backup and Restore is always a good practice: Windows 7 features - Backup and Restore - Microsoft Windows.
Hope you enjoy Windows 7!
Cheers,
