Blinking icons

Icons on the bottom of the desktop (I don't know how U call them in English) start to blink, fliker and for a couple seconds they turn white (apear like when U uninstal some program). And again they become normal after a while. What is it? Help me, please!

They are usualy referred to as task bar icons. Sounds like your PC is becoming unresponsive. Maybe the CPU is maxing out. WHen it does this, launch task manager (right click task bar > "start task manager") on "Performancve" tab see if you CPU is up high, if so go to processes tab and sort by CPU. See what process is uing the CPU. Check the same for memory. If everything looks ok, open a command prompt as administrator and typ in SFC /SCANNOW then <enter>.

It didn't help. I did the scan and it still happens. What more I can say is when I open the Start menu after some while, icons are white too, the same way as those from the task bar. And the same way it happens when I try to 'save as' any document during the choosing wher to save it.

Try changing your monitor frequency to a lower level.
