True. You probably won't need those shortcuts anyway. The new taskbar was designed for ease of opening apps and it works good enough without the keyboard shortcuts.

- Win + P: changing display devices <-- New to Windows 7 - Specifically, it allows for *easy* OS controlled display output, such as to external TV, projector, etc.
- Win + X: Window Mobility Center <-- New to Windows 7
- Win + G: Switch between gadgets <--Already in Vista - Sidebar has to be running
- Win + 1: Opened item #1 on taskbar <--Already in Vista - except works on Quick Launch items

Does anybody get something else???

Same in Vista, again, note it is for Quicklaunch items.....it will take the first 9 items....but my way to force the items I want is to rename the items with a "# - " prefixing the shortcut, where # is a digit from 1-9, depending upon which one I want).

Vista will also do Win + 0 for the 10th item....

No, actually it is to because of KB layout, because 0 maps to 0 not 10 any other place - it is done so because most end users are *not* programmers.....

right
but it will also annoy end users

That is what I meant by most end users not being programmers - it would annoy them / confuse them as they would not understand that an array of 4 items is numbered 0 1 2 3, etc.....
