Desktop Shortcuts Moving And Disappearing: Why ?

Hello,

Not too important, but annoying.

a. Some of my Desktop shortcut icons (usually the same ones) do not seem to be where I left them upon closing the PC. Sort of random; sometimes they are where they should be, other times they have moved upon re-booting up.

b. And, sometimes they just disappear. Were there upon closing, but gone upon the restarting of the PC.

Why is this ?
Anything that can be done ?

Thanks,
Bob

Sorry... Have you ever used dual monitors or clicked Connect To A Projector ? This can cause oddities when later using a single monitor.

Have you been playing any games? Sometimes games that are set to a certain resolution will cause you icons to move from resizing your desktop.
