    Windows 7 Ultimate Explorer ICON

Can anyone help me. Just started using Windows 7 Ultimate. I see the Windows 7 Explorer ICON with a blue handle at the bottom of the ICON. Does this mean my files are being shared with everyone? If so, how can I stop sharing files and folders?

If you are referring to the "curly" blue arrow, all that indicates is that you are looking at a shortcut to the file.

Hello Fame, and welcome to Seven Forums.

I believe he's referring to this left icon below instead.

Fame, your answer is that it's just the new Windows Explorer icon (left) in Windows 7 instead of the old one from Vista and XP (right). The blue handle is a folder holder, and does not indicate that you are sharing them. :)

    Hope this helps,

Thank you for your answer concerning the blue handle being the folder handle. The blow up of the icon makes it easy to see.
