Is it just my install , or the gadgets don't work on the new 6956 release?
I right-click desktop , click on gadgets and nothing happens. Perhaps I've messed the registry searching for hidden extras? Anyone having the same problem? or knowing the reason to that?
I also run sidebar.exe and still nothing..
Wow, someone posted a thread with gadgets not working at the same exact time as you XD. Did you turn off UAC? The other poster seemed to have done so, and thats whats stopping his from working. My gadgets are working perfectly fine, even with a cool new resize animation =P

Ahh, that seems to be the issue then. I have my UAC setting on "don't dim", so yea, my gadgets work fine. I don't mind UAC, just the dimming I think is annoying.

Please turn on UAC, then restart computer, Gadgets will display.
My gadgets are working fine with UAC turned off but I also imported my sidebar from Vista, so it seems that there is some sort of issue with the new build, I hope you guys have reported it to Microsoft.
