    Hows it default? thats got me in a twist.. mine minimum ive ever seen it was at 630mb..

    This is my other machine, P4 1.5 GHz with 768 MB RDRAM (Rambus), full Aero, downloading build 7137 on uTorrent and Firefox opened to this site.

    The third pic is exactly same as first, except without Firefox opened.

    Here's mine. Usually at start-up 7 (7127) utilises around 750Mb RAM. The images show utilisation when I have several applications open:

    firefox x 21 tabs
    uTorrent (7137)
    foobar2000 (sounds)
    thunderbird
    NOD32
    CIS

    Slight variation between Process Explorer and ResMon:
