    Help with lost password.


    Hey , i have now forgotten the pass to my only account on windows 7 , I don't have the disk as it cam installed to my laptop , I don't understand how to use that offline nt password & registtry editor , yes I have a USB but no empty disks , help fast!!

    No problem. Reboot into Safe Mode, and log into the built-in Administrator account. Then go to Control Panel>User Accounts>Manage Another Account>[Your Username] and change the password.

    i ran it in safe mode and all it does it take me to the login screen again , but with higher screen res more help please! I'm a 14 yr old noob...

    You have to understand that members cannot give too much help regarding lost passwords. Try to stay calm, think; your password meant something important to you. Was it the name of one of your parents, a favorite game or TV show? If you stay calm the answer will come to you.

    I know what my password was , it was "gel" it's been that ever since i had this laptop , I still have the same hint , I never changed the password , but it's certainly not get anymore..


    EDIT:thankyou for telling me to boot to WINRE but i need my account pass to do so...

    Try changing it anyway, or perform a system restore from the repair disc.

    Follow Jon's advice above, it may work. After you get your computer working again, be sure to make two administrator accounts, for situations just like this.

    I need to do it with a usb , so I have clicked on your usb version , and I'm sorry for being so stupid but I don't even know what the "repair files" are...


    EDIT: is it the torrent?
