Going crazy! jpg file is hidden?

I use Windows 7 Pro 64-bit and virtual XP. I scanned a photo using software in Virtual XP and saved as a jpg in the Virtual PC as C:\Documents and Settings\**\My Documents\My Pictures. I can double click on the image file and it opens.

However I want to edit the photo in Photoshop which is running on Windows 7 and with integration on or off and look for the file it is not visible within Windows 7.

    What am I missing here?

It's "missing" because it's not in your Windows 7's HDD, it's in the XP mode's "HDD", you need to copy/move the file from XP to 7 manually...

It seems, you need to create a share between XP mode and win7.

    1. Go to the Settings for your XP Mode vm.
    2. Change the network adapter binding from NAT to the physical network adapter of your Windows 7 machine.
    3. Create a share for the My Documents folder on the XP vm.
    4. On the Windows 7 machine, map a drive to the share on the XP vm.
Look at the top of the XP Mode virtual machine's window.

    1. On the menu bar is a Tools menu. Select it and you will see a menu. Select Settings... to open the Settings dialog box.

    2. In the Settings dialog box, select the Integration Features box.

    3. On the right side of the Settings dialog box, look at the checkboxes underneath Share devices and resources. The last category of devices that can be shared between the XP mode virtual machine and the Windows 7 physical machine is Drives.
