how much Hard Drive will Win 7 use?

    Hi,

I have a Toshiba Satellite m300 (2 Gig RAM, 32 bit operating sysytem, intel 2 duo CPU) running Windows 7 Home Premium. I have recently upgrarded from Vista and am very happy with the new Windows. My question is how much hard drive space should Windows 7 use?

I have a 280 Gig hard drive, and 115 Gig is taken/used. I can account for about 35 Gig with photos/music, but the other 80 Gig i don't know. I don't have many extra programs installed on the hard drive, and have performed all the maintenance tasks to try and reduce the size. Its just that when i had Vista installed, I am sure it wasn't that full.

I am not very computer savy, so please keep any explanations in lay-mans terms. Maybe my Question is stupid, it may be normal. Just thought i'd ask.....

I think i did an upgrade install. I originally wanted to do a clean install, but wasn't sure how to do it. I have already deleted the old windows folder.

Am i able to re-use the same windows 7 disc to reinstall on the same laptop? If so a clean install may be needed to reduce the amount of crap on here. The problem is i don't even know where it all came from!!!

Thanks heaps for your replies guys and or girls, and please keep helping me...
