    Yes, the solution to this problem is to install Intel Matrix Storage Manager.

    Im having the same problem


    Random lockups with hard drive light constantly on. When windows resumes all events are processed in order.. All drivers are up to date thru driver agent. Please help im going nuts. PC worked fine from october till about this april with windows 7- 32 bit then started having these issues. I upgraded to to 7 -64 bit and am still experiencing the same thing..

    If you are running only 2gb of ram you may need to acquire some more RAM. With an Intel processor you should have at least 6gb of ram otherwise as you said the drive will lock up from to little RAM.
