Can't Log Into Windows 7 PLEASE HELP

Hi everyone. I Have a sony vaio vgn-fw520f i got it at january 2010.
The os of my computer was windows 7 home premium.
Everything was fine until my computer was not responding and when i restarted it i got a black screen and white letters giving my two options:
Start startup repair (recomended) .....[smth like that] and
Start windows normally. from that time i never got into windows again.
Neither of the two options solves the problem.
I went to vaio recovery center witch had 4 options
    1) diagnosis (smth) witch starts and never completes
2 and 3 says it will recover from a point but my files will be erased. (i havent made a point.)
(THE POINT IS THAT I WANT TO SAVE MY FILES.)
4th option is rescue data but i am afraid i might not rescue all my files. I Have tried several things but nothing works. At this point if someone has a qlue what might be the problem please help my. Allthough i started my computer using the ubuntu 10.04 os from a live cd with the hope i can access my hard disc and save my files from there. Then format my computer and have my files saved. The problem now is that i cannot access the hard disc. It says something about mounting it first. I tried the ntfs comfiguration tool but it didnt work.
I AM VERY TIRED OF THE STORY I CANT STATD IT NO MORE I AM FED UP AND DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO. I HAVE READ SEVERAL FORMUS ASKED SEVERAL PEOPLE ABOUT IT AND FINALY I DESIDED TO POST MY OWN THREAD. SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP MY I WILL REALLY APRICIATE IT. PLEASE HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
P.S. if someone knows the problem some advise for preventing this from happening again will be much more that fine.
    THANK YOU

If you booted to an Unbuntu disc, and it showed your drive, then your drive is probably physically fine. Even though you have an OEM machine, it is always a good idea to obtain the real media as well, so you can repair problems like this. I don't know how Sony handles the media though, because I avoid their systems like the plague. The easiest way is to copy your files off the computer to an external drive, and then format and reinstall the OS (after you disconnect the external drive).

FREE Rescue Kit Express | PARAGON Software Group - free partition software, hard disk partitioning

First: Boot the free Paragon Rescue disk to copy over your files from partition to an external HD, another HD, flash stick or DVD.

Next, look at the drive map of your partitions: make sure Windows 7 is marked Active, or mark it Active.

Then boot the Win7 DVD Repair console or Repair CD, click through to Recovery Tools list to run Startup Repair up to 3 separate times with reboots to repair or write the MBR to Win7 to see if it will startup.

Give it a try with the Win7 Repair CD, then if necessary use the Paragon Rescue CD linked earlier to retrieve your files: System Repair Disc - Create

Boot the Repair CD to see if it finds the installation and then offers a Repair. If not, click through to Recovery Tools list to run Startup Repair repeatedly with reboots.

If this fails after 3 separate attempts with reboots, Choose Command Line in the Recovery Tools list, type:

    DISKPART
    LIST DISK
SELECT DISK # (replace # with the HD # for Win7)
    LIST PARTITION
SELECT PARTITION # (replace # with partition # for Win7 partition judging by size and position)
    ACTIVE
EXIT (make sure it exits DISKPART)

Now return to Recovery Tools list to run Startup Repair up to 3 separate times with reboots to attempt to Start Win7. If this fails, open a Command Line again, type:

    Bootrec.exe /fixboot
    bootrec.exe /fixmbr
    exit

Then run Startup Repair again repeatedly to attempt to start Win7.

If these attempts fail, you will need to retrieve your data then recover your system using Factory Recovery disks or by running Factory Recovery partition. Acer will send you the disks if you didn't make them; read your manual to learn how to run Factory Recovery partition. Your manual can be read or downloaded at Acer's Support Downloads webpage for your model. You are still under one year Tech Support warranty so I would use it to support these steps, or tap them for other approaches.

Always keep files backed up in future, along with a System Image of Win7 so you can reimage HD in 15 minutes with an image you save externally, then replenish your files saved separately.
