Windows 7: two queries

two queries

I would like to have the Internet Icon down on the taskbar to light up when there is net activity going on, as it does in XP. A useful indicator, and I miss it. Is there a setting in W7 I can turn on or a tweak I can download does anyone know?

Also... I was sure I had downloaded something which would give me an XP-style Start Menu area to try, but cannot find what I have done with it. Does anyone know where I might find it again on the net?

Thanks in advance for any help.

1) To get the blinking XP style network icon try LAN LIGHTS.

or try Network Activity Indicator.

2) To get the XP style start menu, try CSMenu.

You're welcome. I've been using this program for quite a while now, and its appearance in the system tray is very much like the activity indicator that is present in XP.
