    Double clicking is too tiring. Checkboxes though are the most retarded thing to use with a mouse.

    For me it's single click no check box. To select I just hover over or drag select.

    I used checkboxes because I knew if I did hover, there'd be no way to get the thing to select on a consistent basis. I hovered over a bunch of icons like as long as 8 or 10 seconds. I think it selected 2 out of about a dozen attempts. At least with the checkbox I can predict it. (Whatever you do to get it to work on your machine won't work on mine so please don't lecture me.)

    Plus it's annoying when the shell drops a double click and you have to double click yet again. At least with single you don't have to click your, er, finger, off.
