It can be done in so many ways...

Some pro's use the posting method: "Oh ...., I still need 72 rep points to my Guru Badge" and, surprise surprise, two minutes later you can read the responses like "Taken care, mate!". Some others use subtle text in sig, but yours really flew from display to my brain as too aggressive: "Please don't forget to rep me " (underlining by me).

Over 90,000 members means about as many opinions. This is just my subjective opinion and you shouldn't give it too much weight.

Welcome ionbasa, don't worry, no harm. Kari was just filling you in on good info, which I truly agree with. If the Rep comes, it comes. New members don't know about Rep, but a thanks is sufficient. Seasoned members know about Rep, and when it is earned, it will come. Just let it flow, good things come with good help and contributions. A Guy

MAGIC ! There is a silent cheer on this end of the computer ~ as Windows Update was "configured incorrectly at the manufacturers" according to MS - and somehow (I don't even wanna know how it did this one) it updated even though I had disabled Windows Update thru admin services. Why was I worried and why did I disable it? because the last time it updated - it turned my desktop into a big paperweight. It just updated and I`m still here WOOT ! Somedays one doesn't question the "how" of it ....just glad to still be online! :)

ooooo and I am female - so altho not "one of the guys" - I like to think of myself, at times, as being "in that group" LOL Just because..... not many females, that I know, do more than play games and chat online. Most would be "scared of" MS C++ Redistributable being "on their computer"
