Dragging and droping files into other program

Hey everyone,

I have been having some problems with dragging and dropping files from a folder into a program. I have tryed just about everything but everytime I grab a file to drop Into the program I get a circle with a line through it. I do not have this problem on my xp machine.. Any thoughts?? Thanks,
