    Wds 7 64Bit to 32 .?

Hi All. I bought a laptop with w7/64bit for work and i have so many problems
My brother has an extra w7/32bit ultimate key that i can have ..
Is there any problem if i do a fresh install w7-32bit on it ..?
As i know that most if not all Intel CPUs can handle both 32 & 64 bit OS ..
Any feed back would be appreciated .
    Thanks.

If it runs 64 it will run 32. All you need to do is a CLEAN install. You will of course have to re-install all of your apps

    Hello,

The computer would work just fine with 32 bit. IDK, what problems you have but unless they are being caused by the OS itself, theres no reason to switch!

However, it would be a shame to loose the 64 bit win7 license you have right now. What I would suggest is that you make an image of your current install using an app like Macrium reflect. What this will do is that at a later stage if you want to go back to 64 bit, you can just restore from that image. No tedious reinstall of apps required plus no activation required.

    Imaging with free Macrium

Also, if you want to revert later, you can also install win7 (same edition that your computer came with) using a generic 64 bit win7 disk, then activate using the key on the COA sticker on your computer.

    Thank you all .
I'll try it this weekend ....
@ Biil2. I've made an image recovery disc and also cloned the whole system to an external HDD , I should be able to clone it back later .
The only thing that makes me uneasy is the Sony mobo ..
Can it work in 32bit OS ..? since it was made for 64bit .
i guess i will find out soon .. I'll be back to let you all know how it turns out.
    Thanks again everybody .

The motherboard doesn't determine the OS compatibility...the processor does. You also have an Intel chipset board, which means you'll be perfectly fine...just install the chipset drivers first.

That being said, if it was my system, I'd work on the problems first, rather than swap out the OS.
