    How to get it back ???


    Hi,
    I have a problem with the hard disk space. The drive E is showing a free space of 54.5 GB. But there is only one file in it, which is about 4MB file. There are no hidden files except Autorun.
    Here I am attaching the images of the properties of the drive and the drive.
    How to get that 4 GB space back ???....

    Could be anything, we need more info.

    It could be system volume information, a page file, a restore poitn, etc.

    You seem to have plenty of space so why is it that important?

    Maybe turn on "Show hidden files and folders" in folder options? If that still doesn't work, look for a program that will do a disk analysis. Last resort would be format...

    Copy it over to C: until you figure out what it is, allowing you to do what you want with E.
