Sorting search results causes search to rerun

When I search for something using the search box in explorer, the search results are shown in detailed view. Let's say they are sorted by name. If I click on the date modified field, instead of sorting by date modified instantly, the whole search starts over! Is something wrong with my Windows 7, or is this a "feature"?

Might just be the way your search is configured. what would you like it to do?

I want to sort the search results without having to restart the search. AFAIR, in XP searches did not restart when I sorted results.

Search results keep popping up.
Hi all, Since a few days without any reason a search results screen keeps popping up on my computer. It also happens when I don't do anything. What I think is related to this is that when browsing (Google Chrome) sometimes the cursor will move to the addressbar and show a questionmark. I...

Deleting Search Results
Hello, I'm racking my brains trying to figure this out. We have a spam filter dump spam into a folder so we can check for false positives. Within this spam folder we search different terms that we know we can immediately delete. In XP, for instance, I could search on "viagra", have the results show...
