Constant Keyboard Interrupts

Hi!

I'm running Windows 7 Pro. I noticed that my screen saver *never* is activated. Upon doing a little troubleshooting, it looks like my keyboard is generating a keyboard interrupt about every second.

I'm using a Dell Inspiron 1501 - it's the attached keyboard.

The computer has been doing it since I upgraded from Vista. It never did this with Vista, so I suspect something with Win7.

Has anyone seen this before? I don't think it's a hardware issue.

Rich could be as easy as a driver. check in device manager (type device manager in search) look for the input tab and see if the keyboard is listed and working (there should not be a yellow triangle on it)

There is no yellow triangle over keyboard in Dev Mgr. I also tried to update from the driver tab of the KeyBoard Properties page.

I have attached a screenshot of the Driver Details.

I really appreciate your suggestion... but the page at Dell does not allow me to select Windows 7 as my OS. I tried updating with the Vista driver, but no effect. :-(

Please see my prior post to Ken. There is a screen shot of the drivers I have. I tried updating thru the Dev Mgr UI, but it did not help either.

I'm pretty sure that you are correct that it is a driver, I just do not know where to get a good Win 7 driver.
