Random locked folders on external hard drive?
I have an external hard drive that I use mostly for storing backup images and files. A few weeks ago three folders showed up on the drive. The file names are a random assortment of letters and numbers and they are locked. Although I have the administrative account, whenever I try to delete these folders or change permissions for them it says I lack administrator privileges and that access is denied. In the Security tab in the folder properties dialogue box, it lists my user name as well as a user by with a very long name starting with S-1-5-21-4294891926...on and on an on. I did not set up this account and nobody else uses my computer!
I have no idea what these folders are (I can't open any files in them as it says I don't have permission!), I don't know why it's telling me I don't have privileges to open them when I have the administrator account and nobody else uses my computer, and I would like to get rid of them. If somebody could fill me in on what's going on here, thank you in advance!
