Program "Sticky Notes" has been deleted

    Hello everyone,
I'm from Argentina, I'm new at the Forum and no english speaking, so first of all sorry for my bad english!!!
Now I'll try to explain my problem.

I bought a new PC that has Windows 7 installed and the Technician that prepare it leave 2 Aministrator Accounts: one with my name and one named "Usuario".
I used the PC for a time with both users and, as I didn't notice differences between both, I deleted the account "Usuario" and continue using the account with my name. I deleted the account using the option "deleted all personal files from the user"

Now I found that I've two problems:
    1. The most important: The program Sticky Notes it's gone. It's not in the Desktop, not in the Menu "All Programs" and deffinitly it's not at the PC (the program StikyNot.exe is not at the Windows\System32 directory or any other director. I know it because I searched the entire PC looking for it). I've use the program sometimes and it was wonderful... but as I'd try both Users Accounts I just don't remember with wich user I used it.
So, how can I get the Sticky Notes again? I supposed that I need the .exe files plus some .dll file but I don't know exactly wich files they are and where to get them.

    2. This is more a doubt that a problem. I've read that if I let the mouse at the bottom right corner the open windows dissapear and I can see the Desktop (Aero Peek function) but this funcionality never works ¿do you know why? ¿Maybe it's not available at Home Edition of Seven?

Thanks for your help and once again, sorry for my english!

Hello Juilia, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Sticky Notes is part of the Tablet PC Components feature. Double check to make sure that you have Tablet PC Components checked in Windows Features to have it turned on.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

    Shawn,
First of all, thanks for your help.
I'm sorry but it doesn't work... The Tablet PC Components install the applications Tablet PC Input Panel, Math Input Panel and Ink Input (all tools of hand writing) but not the Sticky Notes.
    Another idea?

I want to add something about the second question (Aero Peek doesn't work). I've gone to the "Tool Bar Properties" and the option "Use Aero Peek to see the Desktop" is not there!!!)

    Julia,

For now you might see if the free program Stickies may work you instead. It's a lot better than the included Sticky Notes in Windows 7.

As for the Aero Peek feature, double check each item in the Warning box at the top of the tutorial below and the steps in it to see if any one of them may be the cause of Aero not working.

Aero Peek - Turn On or Off

    Hope this helps. :)

I don't know what it means or what is it for but I did it and when I Type sfc /scannow appears this message: "Debe ser administrador con una sesión de consola activa para poder usar la utilidad sfc" that in english is something like this: "You have to be Administrator (Manager) with an active consola??? sesion in order to use the sfc utility".

My User is Administrator so I don't know what else to do. What is "sfc utility"? What can I do with it?

    Thanks!

Hi Julia, that means that you need to right click Command Prompt and click Run as Administrator before typing sfc /scannow

    Thank u, Shawn or Brink!
I've already installed Stickies and it works ok.
My Seven is Home Basic, so it has not Aero Peek...

    Thanks to all!
