    Need to refresh desktop


    this has just started, say if i download and save a file from outlook onto my desktop i need to refresh my desktop to be able to see it, it doesn't just appear

    any ideas about this?

    i've edited a registry entry to 0, i'll see how it goes

Whenever I download a file, it won't appear on my desktop unless I manually refresh with F5. Same goes with unrarring files, if I have a rar and I unrar it, the unrarred file will only appear by manually refreshing :S. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Any ideas how to fix this?? I'm new (1 month) to Win7 If I save a file on my desktop (recently an XLS and PDF file) on my desktop.... open windows exploder and drag the two files off the desktop into some folder, the files still appear on my desktop until I right-click and refresh the desktop....
