    Contacts folder Problem

first of all i tried 64bit win 7, but programs kept freezing etc, i backed up my contacts etc

i then reinstalled 32bit win 7 and copy and pasted the contacts into my contacts folder, i can see the name & email address ok, but if i want to open or edit a contact it says "this version is not compatable etc........"

so it looks to be a x86 Versus x64 problem

is there a way i can save them & convert it or is it going to be a long process of manually adding a contact at a time

You did not say what Email program you are using. Most have a way to import contacts from one program to another. That is the way it should be done rather than Copy-Paste.

it's opening up the contact from my contacts folder thats giving me the problem, not from outlook

    i can't even add a new contact

ok, looks like i've fixed it.

after the update from MS that changed a file in windows mail, i went onto use outlook 2007, but today i used the tutorial to make WM work again and now i'm able to open/edit my contacts again

    strange
