    superbar peek

this might be long. I have an hp g60, I bought the day before 7 came out, it had free upgrade to 7 so i ordered and installed it. had probs with mouse pad, since fixed. I wanted to hook lp to external monitor "lcd flat screen tv" via an HDMI cable to watch movies, game ect. spent 3.5 hrs watching Ali from some place in india try to get it to work via hp direct connect. He gave up and said to send laptop to hp, that nvidia was screwed up. So I spent hrs making image of drive before i sent in and wasted 13 dvds "I cant get past disk 9" I had to exit reimage and it remove my os, I used the upgrade disk luckly it put 7 back on the laptop. but if I hover pointer on taskbar it doesnt show the window image just a exit button and discriptive lettering. O btw HP tech called and said that my issue was a 7 issue not any hardware in laptop. Anyway im trying to get options back and the taskbar peek or superbar is the issue i want fixed first any ideas would be great. Ill have to wait to fix the external issue when someone figures it out.

Welcome to Seven Forums mebesticky. Are you saying the taskbar preview thumbnails are not working? When you hover your cursor over an item in taskbar, you no longer get the thumbnail popup?

If I read you right, you might have an Aero problem. Here is something to try:

Start> Type Aero in the Search box> Click on Find and fix problems with transparency and other visual effects ,in the results that appear

When the Aero wizard window opens> Click Advanced if you want the problem fixed automatically> Click Next to continue

See if that fixed the problem. If problem is not fixed, a Problem Found window will come up.

You can choose Explore additional options, or below that view detailed information.

If this isn't about the thumbnail previews, you may need to explain again the issues you are having.

There is also the option to run System File Checker (SFC via sfc /scannow command prompt). Or do a repair install. We can direct you how to do these too if needed. A Guy
