Windows 7 raises complaints from rivals

Microsoft Corp's next version of Windows is stirring fresh complaints of anticompetitive behavior from rivals who say the new version of the operating system gives unfair advantage to Microsoft's Internet Explorer browser.

Hasn't that always been how Microsoft released IE? Sorry, I haven't really followed Microsoft until Windows 7 lol.

I'm sorry but microsoft has given the end user the option to turn off IE and use whatever browser they want,
so companies complaining are just whining.

Too bad some pages on Microsoft's website don't load at all in other browsers. :/

The other companies are just jealous that they can't release such fine and significant OSes like Windows

interesting article. I will say that I use FF3.. and I've been loving Firefox for a while now.. I'm currently using their 3.5 Beta on Win7 and it's great. But the new IE8 is pretty solid as well.. I almost just left myself to use it. But in the end I just like FF

Yeah, I just think it's funny that it's still like that. Though, they're not the only ones like that either. It's pretty bad that some sites have links to a IE6 download page when you view them.

What I still don't get is, its Microsoft's Operating System, don't they have the right to have THEIR web-browser tied into it?

I mean OS X comes with Safari and I don't see complaints about that.

The other browsers are worried about their share of the market. Since IE8 is included in the actual OS, they cite unfair advantage.
