Welcome,
Next time it happens, go to search, type event viewer and take down the errors. Do that 3 more times and make note of the common errors. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Dell XPS 420 OS Windows 7 Home Premium SP1, clean install, upgrade disc CPU Intel Core2 processsor Q8200(2.33Ghz 1333FSB) Quad Core Tech Motherboard Dell Memory 6 gb Graphics Card ATI Radeon 256MB HD3650 Sound Card Intergrated 7.1 Channel Audio Monitor(s) Displays Dell SP2009W 20" Keyboard Dell USB Keyboard Mouse Dell Premium Optical USB Cooling Fan Hard Drives 640 GB Serial ATA Hard drive Internet Speed DSL 2.85 |

Try getting out of sleep by using the keyboard. The mouse may not work, if you have a optical that is off. Check to be sure that the keyboard setting is set up to wake from sleep.

I turn off the keyboard and mouse for sleep (Wake on KB/Mouse). I have to because I use my desk for paper work as well.
It does come out of sleep, to a blank screen, and then I have to restart the computer in order to have everything up and running again. Sorry if I wasn't clear about that earlier. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 x64 Other Info Windows 7 x64

I really wish people wouldn't backtrack and edit their posts and add new info, very easy to miss and I don't see why you can't just make a new post.
Too bad this forum doesn't have a changed edits line like other forums. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 x64 Other Info Windows 7 x64
