    Want to change keyboard buttons

Im maby planning on buying a german netbook, but it comes with a german keyboard.
How can i chance that keyboard to be standard qwerty again?
(change Z to Y and vice versa)
the netbook comes with windows seven starter, but will upgrade it to home premium.

    Hi borgqueenx,

It might be possible to physically swap the keys around, although you will need to be careful if you do that. Alternatively, you might be able to overlay stick-on letters to the keys (Letraset) to show the desired letter(s). Another alternative is that you leave the keyboard as it is and just get used to the layout. It is perfectly possible to have Windows 7 in one language, and to have the keyboard set in another.

Open the control panel, then click on "Region and Language", then click the tab " Keyboards and languages", then under that click on "Change Keyboards". Click "Add" and check "English" > "Keyboard" > "US." Press "OK." Set the default language to "English (United States) - US," and remove the German/Qwertz keyboard layout.

Your keyboard will now function like a Qwerty keyboard, though the keys still have the Qwertz letters printed on them. You can place small stickers with the letters written or printed on them over the keys that are different between the two layouts, as Dwarf has suggested.

How about a USB travel keyboard of the appropriate language layout? 7 will handle it.
