Windows 7 - Windows shifting back to primary monitor when displays go to sleep

I have a dual monitor set up in Windows 7 ultimate 64bit and I make use of both screens pretty much constantly. If windows power save turns off the displays all of the windows maximized in the secondary display will shift over to the primary. This doesn't happen when the screensaver turns on, only when the system turns off the screens.

I've tried updating any applicable drivers and doing a full reinstall. I've also messed with any aero settings that seem like they would affect anything. Any ideas on what could be causing this? Thanks!

Oh I'm sorry, I neglected to include some other info on the system. It's a Dell Precision T7500 with an E5506 quad core processor and a Quadro NVS 295 graphics card. 3gb of DDR3 1066. I actually made sure to get every single windows update I could find and that made no difference either.

Are you using the NVIDIA control panel to set up the dual monitors or windows? When the applications switch, is it actually the primary and secondary that is switching? Does the Start button and taskbar (if not using UltraMon or similar) stay on the same monitor after you wake and find this issue? Do you have the latest NVIDIA drivers? A Guy
