Yeah, I did get one box that said something about "you might be a victim of software counterfeiting", but nothing really beyond that. Has anyone actually seen it stop working?
Go ahead and ignore the advice of everyone here. Just don't get upset when you lose everything one day. Okay? Those of us with genuine purchased Windows 7 licenses don't have to worry about that.

In case you didn't read the thread, I don't have anything to loose in my installation. Besides, what could it do? Corrupt my hard drive? Was this just a big coverup that you're trying to shove under a rug? I could care less, you guys make it sound like a sin. Are you maybe just jealous of me getting "free rent", is that it?

Frankly, I don't give a damn.
I wouldn't be surprised if the statements published about the RC's expiration were bogus.
The limitations on upgrade licenses, for example, turned out to be much less restrictive than I had been lead to believe.
Regardless, I got a couple of upgrade licenses at $50 each during the pre-order special last year. I'm using Win7 as my primary OS, so it was worth that to have blessed copies.

Not getting updates is NOT a good thing. Those are security fixes that you are not getting as well.

I'd bet they are bogus. Something should've happened by now. It is July, and it sure still works.
