Very Interesting: My Windows 7 RC Still works, and it is June 21st...

I thought the RC Was supposed to expire some time ago, and I just booted it up to see what it would do, but everything is still normal. I can still run everything normally and the only thing I have seen was a quick Windows box that said "you might be a victim of software counterfeiting", but I was able to click out of that right away. I didn't know that "expires" means still 99% usable, LOL!

    No sorry.
They are warning you. It will become less and less usable over time. Get a copy and validate, before you lose everything

You lost some function this month, next month a little more. You will not get updates. Finally you will lose everything. Don't you think the brains at MS know that people will not pay if they only lose a little. They will lose it all. Your personal doucments may even be lost.

Then there will be the fun that you will just begin to shut down at random. Just when you are having a great chat on messenger or playing a great game, bang, shut down.

I've seen it reported on other forums that it will shut down every 2 hours. My question is, given how stable and good Windows 7 is...why would you still want to be running beta (aka, not final) code? You've missed out on a bunch of deals to get Windows 7 cheap. Do yourself a favor and get a license. No worries about timing out or missing updates.

Haven't really noticed much of that to be honest. Was it real? What about the "daily reminders" to upgrade that I haven't been getting?

Bunny here is the bottom line:

If you really want to have Windows 7, you will be buying it soon. MS knows exactly what is happening. I think they want you to get use to it and enjoy it, then take it away.

Yeah, I did get one box that said something about "you might be a victim of software counterfeiting", but nothing really beyond that. Has anyone actually seen it stop working?
