What is Windows Embedded Standard 7 ??

Hi all ,

I found at forum topic that talks about Microsoft Windows Embedded Standard 7 , What is that system and should we go for it instead of Windows 7 Ultimate or what ???

What do you want to use it for?

If you are an end user certainly not, if you are asmall business certainly not, if you are a medium to large company consider it.

If you aren't a developer though I don't see much that can be gained from this.

It is what the name implies...Embedded. It is a stripped down version that is meant to run embedded in a device, like a point-of-sale system, a waitress station in a restaurant, etc.

Windows Embedded is nothing like Windows you install on your computer. It is not installed nor can be installed in your personal computer. It is used for very specific and hard coded devices. Like your microwave for example uses an embedded OS.
