One of the planes that hit one of the two WTC towers on 9/11 was Q33N.
Type that flight number 'Q33N' in notepad. Increase the font size to 72. Change the font to Wingdings. …..

    Flights :

American Airlines Flight 11 (on Air Traffic Control Computers it would appear as "AA11")

United Airlines Flight 175 (on Air Traffic Control Computers it would appear as "UAL175")

American Airlines Flight 77 (on Air Traffic Control Computers it would appear as "AA77")

United Airlines Flight 93 (on Air Traffic Control Computers it would appear as "UAL93")

... I have a feeling someone made a fake flight number after looking at wingdings characters and started this terrible "coincidence"

That wasn't the flight number; it was the tail number. All aircraft have an identification number usually displayed on each side of the vertical stabilizer. US registered aircraft numbers begin with the letter "N".

Also BS. Major airlines in the US have registration numbers that are 6 digits long. The planes involved were N334AA, N612UA, N644AA, and N591UA. No "Q33N" in sight.

American Airlines uses the designation AAL+digits (as the flight ID).

Depends on whether it is IATA or ICAO. IATA is AA.

I know, but you didn't mention the IATA code, and that's the one that's most commonly used amongst the general public. :)
