i believe you cannot use aero and the goodies that you get...lol
So presumably this is the "Time-Bomb" referred to?? It's nice to know there's no Black screen etc.

Well shit...I go through the entire installation of 7 and when it gets to the last step it has an "Unexpected Error" and wont let me complete the installation. Has anyone else had this problem?

if any error codes come up..
if you closed all antivirus and any protection before tried it...

Yes I am trying to upgrade and I also tried once more with the same results....

I get to the final step "Completing Upgrade" at 31% then it gives me this message....

"Windows installation encountered an error and cannot continue. Your computer will restart and your previous version of windows will be restored."

So now I am stumped....has anyone else got this message?

I dont believe I have any encrypted files, and I have a total of 27.5 GB of free space, which should be plenty enough. I disabled my anti virus the second attempt to see if that made a difference but that did not seem to make any difference at all.

Winamp upgrade - can't delete 2 files
Hi there While I generally LIKE winamp - this is a classic example of how NOT to provide upgrades- and I'm surprised since somebody with the backing of AOL should IMO know better -- we aren't talking about a single developer "under the railway arches" here. When you upgrade it will fail...

XP -> 7 upgrade gives me copying files problems...
I run my system on two partitions, one had XP and one 7 Beta. When i installed 7 RC1 i upgraded the XP install. This put all my files into a "windows.old" folder. All very well so far. All the files in this i can happily copy/cut and paste anywhere. Except the files in My Music. This is a problem...
