I had these problems shortly after reinstalling Windows 7 for the 4th time in ~6 months. If that's the solution, I might as well just reinstall Windows 7 again :s and lose all my stuff, which I don't really... feel like having done. I'm a bit tired of having to always reinstall my OS because of various problems, usually some weird memory pop-up and blue screens, etc.
Thanks anyway, though.
I'll try Start-Up Repair, but is that going to erase stuff? or just check for missing DLLs, etc.?
