I D/L'd Music Match last night - It didn't take me long at all to determine it was NOT the audio software I want. I successfully uninstalled it, but I still have some icons I can see if I right click the taskbar, select proerties & then slick the customization button. - - - - HOW DO I GET RID OF THESE???? Can somebody please assist????

If this is the active Taskbar a right mouse click will reveal an Unpin this program from Taskbar, if this is the Startup Taskbar you need to go to Start> type msconfig then go to the top and choose ot, when it comes up you will see a Start up box, tick that and you will need to deselect any box associated with Music Match, you will be prompted to reboot.

    Hi

    Navigate to C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\TaskBar

As a shortcut for the above, you can type the following in the address bar of windows Explorer:
    %appdata%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\TaskBar

Find the offending shortcut and delete it. Done. :)

You many need to refresh your taskbar (Toggling 'Lock the taskbar' worked for me) to get the change to appear.

If you don't want to type all that into the address bar in one go, but instead want to navigate step by step, then you'll have to show hidden folders, because the 'User Pinned' folder is hidden. To do this, you need to:

Organize>Folder and search options> View tab>Show hidden files, folders and drives

Hello Pleides, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Resetting the notification area icons should be able to remove these icons from a uninstalled program for you.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn
