There was nothing wrong with Vista if you had good enough hardware to run it, I have Vista Ultimate x64 and never had any problems that weren't created by user error, so Stop with the Vista bashing and just be happy that you have Windows 7, just remember that without Vista, Windows 7 would never have been.

Nothing is wrong with Vista, it got off to a rough start because the driver support wasn't there. It indeed had higher minimum hardware requirements. Why don't you list the hardware you ran Vista with so we can discuss your disaster, or are you a one-post flash in the pan? Are you running the RC with the same hardware since that's all we know about your system?

Ehh let him bash Vista if he wishes :P Honestly though, I'm not sure if driver support was the only thing. It ran slowly on lesser hardware. I mean, I have a very optimized SP2 vista clean install, and seven(mostly unoptimized, not even startup programs) runs way better than vista on my rig. Most notably when multitasking or when my PC has been on for a long time. And better battery life. Back then, vista was a disaster/dissapointment, even if it became so unfairly or undeservingly, and now the bad rep has stuck even if its fixed itself.

At this current day and age, there is not much wrong with vista, but there really is very little truly attractive about it either. I see very little reason to use vista over SP3 for the average consumer. Windows 7 on the other hand brings alot of changes easily noticeable to the mainstream buyer.

i dont agree vista s great actually it transformed the OS to a new level at that time of its launch there was some issues like drivers and inadequate system requirement which forced to see that vista is bad!!!

Why do people love to hate vista? I never had any problems with it and found it to be much better looking and faster than xp, not to mention I never got a single virus using vista x64. I guess not everyone can afford decent hardware if thats whats restricting your using vista? But I can't see the point in slating something just becausce your out of date PC wont run it. Its like someone saying they hate mercedes benz becausce they drive a Ford Escort! Total rubbish.

If you have problems using windows vista maybe you shouldn't be using a pc...

The real problem with Vista was either not having powerful enough hardware, or the Hardware manufacturers did not make drivers for their older hardware (as a way to force upgrades). The problem with that was that people hated Vista, not the manufacturers, and didn't understand the problem.

I agree with Grim, lets stop the Vista bashing. At the very least, stick it in the Chillout Room.
