    We waited for over a page of responses, just so you can post a screenshot of normal memory usage for a system running Vista or Windows 7? Dear God, I hope this thread wasn't created to ask why memory usage is "so high"! If that's what you are wondering, you really should take a minute to read about indexing, SuperFetch, etc....aka the reasons people use Windows 7 or Vista over XP.

    I'm feeling....let down.

    With not much running, RAM usage of about 1GB is normal in a 3 or 4GB system. If you want to study more details, go to Resource Monitor > Memory tab. The colored bar will show you the exact usage of your memory. It should look something like this:
