Stop things from appearing in Start menu Search?

Sometimes when I search text it comes up with OneNote files, because it has the text inside that file.

Now the question is simple; is there a way to make a certain filetype/program or whatever, to stop appearing in the start menu? If so, how?

Welcome to the forum xChase. You can select what Windows indexes:

Index - Add or Remove File Types

Start > Type in Indexing Options

Click on Indexing Options> Click Advanced

    Click on File Types

Untick any file type you dopn't want to index

Apply and OK your way out

Ok it seems it doesn't work. I search a keyword I've put into a note in OneNote, and it still appears in the index. I've turned off indexing for .one and the OneNote thing at the main menu, but the results still appear.

The OneNote object in "Included locations" keeps popping up when after I've removed it, any ideas?

Yes and while rebuilding, it added OneNote in there again, twice.
