Delete it in safe mode, then reboot. BTW, is there anything that shows up in Programs and features, that you should uninstall before deleting.

Open a command prompt with elevated privileges by right clicking cmd.exe and selecting "Run as Administrator."

    At the prompt, type
    Code:
    cipher /w drive:\folder
substituting the drive letter and folder path for "drive" and "folder."

For example: To delete LargeVideoFile.exe in the C:\Video folder
    Code:
    cipher /w C:\Video\LargeVideoFile.exe
This operation overwrites the selected files with 1s, 0s and random characters. -WS

Tried that also with no luck.
I might email Mircosoft and see what they have to say.

    Hi shanefromoz
Just a thought while you are waiting for a reply from MS. You don't say in this thread what the file is named, I presume it is an exe file? How about renaming it and then trying to delete, you could try changing the file extension if renaming doesn't work! Worth a try.
